Enable God Mode Folder on Windows
The Windows God Mode folder is a special desktop folder that exposes a large set of classic Control Panel tasks in one place. It does not unlock hidden power, but it is handy when you often jump between advanced settings.
Manual method
- Create a new folder on the desktop.
- Name it exactly
God Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. - Or rename it from PowerShell with
Rename-Item -LiteralPath "$env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\New folder" -NewName 'God Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}'. - Open it to browse grouped settings, tools, and administrative shortcuts.
Cleaner option:
Khuna's Windows Cleanup Tool can create or repair a properly named God Mode desktop entry and keeps the option alongside the rest of your Windows tuning checklist.
Why use the tool instead
The manual folder name can be awkward, and it is easy to end up with a nameless-looking folder if the shell extension eats the visible label. The cleanup tool uses a cleaner workflow so the desktop entry is recognizable.
