PaperPilot is built around user-approved folders, deterministic safety checks, and local processing. Suggestions are not allowed to directly move files without the controlled action path.
Local analysis
Rules, text extraction, optional OCR tools, and optional local model packs run on your PC instead of sending document contents to cloud AI.
Audit and undo
File actions are logged locally, and undo verifies file hashes before moving a file back.

Home, Pro, and Business licensing.
The current installer offers a free 48-hour Home trial after creating or logging in to a Khuna Labs account. Paid checkout and account-linked keys are handled through the Khuna Labs license system.
What to expect in beta
- The installer is code-signed by Khuna Labs. Windows SmartScreen may still show additional prompts while release reputation builds.
- Review suggestions before approving file moves, especially around money, taxes, medical, payroll, and legal documents.
- No model weights are included in the installer.
- OCR requires local OCR tools when using image files or scanned PDFs.
- Keep normal backups of important documents outside PaperPilot.
PaperPilot suggestions are aids for review, not guarantees. Verify filenames, destinations, extracted fields, and classifications before approving changes to important documents.
